We rescue cats from the street, from the park, and from a lot of basements. We also rescue cats who may have been abandoned at a vet office or neglected in a deli. We take in cats from ACC, the overcrowded city shelter. You would be surprised how many cats we rescue from hoarding cases that tend to happen due to lack of access to spay and neuter facilities!

Below you will find pictures of our rescues. Please click the link below their name to see their petfinder page with more information about them.

Our adoption process is as follows:x

  1. Fill out adoption application LINK HERE
  2. A volunteer from our organization will contact you to chat about the app and see if it is okay to move forward.
  3. We call references provided on the application.
  4. We conduct a home visit, either in person or virtually to make sure the apartment is safe for cats and kittens.
  5. You are approved for adoption! We will have you fill out some forms and pay a $150 Adoption Fee per cat.

-kittens under the age of 10 months must be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. Here is a great explanation by Kitten Lady on why we have this policy!

-if you are an adopter over the age of 65, we may ask you to fill out and sign a ‘senior adopter form’

-all cats adopted through us will be vetted. This includes

  1. FIV/FELV Snap test to know their status
  2. FVRCP Vaccine series (1 + booster)
  3. Deworming
  4. Flea Treatment as needed
  5. Spay/Neuter when old enough
  6. Rabies Vaccine when old enough
  7. Nails trimmed. (all cats adopted through us can always come in on Sundays for a complementary nail trim in the future)

-we offer a program called ‘foster to adopt’. This is great for people who are planning to introduce two cats as well as first time cat parents who are the tiniest bit hesitant. Please fill out an adoption application and make sure to write in ‘Foster to Adopt’ next to the name of the cat your are interested in. We normally will not offer ‘foster to adopt’ for kittens under 6 months but we do take things on a case by case- basis so always be sure to communicate your needs!
